Ministry of Finance 1/ Doing things cost money. We are exceptionally lean but it still costs money. Right now it costs a couple of million dollars per year to run the development and artist management team, the website, the inference providers and so on 2/ When we go decentralized, the network will need to finance these expenses and, ideally, much larger number of expenses, so we can be much more ambitious. $2M is nothing in today's tech world; Individual star developers make more than that We should have a plan to increase to $5M and $10M and $100M per year (while keeping our current and better efficiency) 3/ In any case, to do all of these things, we need a budget, we need to know how much money we are spending now, on what we are spending it, and what our plans for the future are for it 4/ And for this, we will need a Ministry of Finance 5/ To start things off and give everyone a baseline, I have asked @[itsjpower] to pull together our current spending. He has been leading accounting, tax, finance this whole time so he is the best person to get us started here. Once we review that, we will make a plan for 2027 and a projection for 2028 6/ Then once we have a mutually agreed budget, we will need to go find a sufficient number of subscriptions to fund it. But that comes later. The first job is to know what we are spending and why, so stay tuned for that in a few days.
