How TDH is calculated
Total Days Held measures the art you hold and the time you have held it. Each daily snapshot turns whole holding days into a score, using edition weights and a boost for your collection.
Base TDH includes The Memes, Gradients and NextGen. Meme Lab and received xTDH are separate.
FirstGM: the original TDH reference
FirstGM (Meme #8) was designed to establish the meaning of one TDH: one copy held for one complete day, before collection boosts. Its open-mint design is central to its role as the original reference card.
One FirstGM copy × one complete day = one base TDH
Edition weights put other cards on that scale. The calculator derives rates from the largest eligible effective Meme edition; the exact calculation below explains the supply and floor rules.
Three steps to your score

Count whole holding days
Every copy you still hold contributes its completed days. Two copies held for 100 days contribute 200 holding days. A sale removes the sold copy’s holding history from your score.

Apply each card’s edition weight
Holding days are multiplied by the card’s HODL rate. Smaller effective editions receive more weight. The rate is rounded to two decimal places before it is used.

Apply your collection boost
Complete Meme collections, season sets and Gradients can increase your multiplier. It applies to all your eligible holdings. Each token’s boosted contribution is rounded, then added to your total.

When your holdings change
Why can selling one card reduce TDH by more than that card’s score?
The sold copy stops contributing its holding days. If the sale also breaks a set or removes a Gradient boost, your multiplier falls on the rest of your holdings too. TDH is recalculated from what you hold; it is not a permanently banked balance.
Do I keep my holding time when I move a card?
Transfers between wallets in your confirmed consolidation preserve the original acquisition time. A transfer outside that group removes the sender’s contribution and starts a new holding period for the recipient. Delegation alone does not consolidate wallets.
When does a new purchase or newly minted card count?
A copy needs a completed 24-hour holding period to contribute holding days. Newly minted Memes and Gradients also need to pass the snapshot’s separate 24-hour mint-age filter. An already eligible card can complete a set before its new owner has held it for a full day.
Does a full collection include the current season?
Yes. You need every Meme card eligible for that snapshot, including eligible cards from the current season. When a new card becomes eligible, a previously complete collection may become incomplete. Individual season bonuses follow the eligible seasons listed above.
Why isn’t tomorrow’s change exactly my daily rate?
Daily rate is a guide calculated from positive-age copies and the current boost. Whole-day boundaries, per-token rounding, transfers, new eligible cards and changes in rates or boosts can all affect the next snapshot. The displayed rate may also be rounded down elsewhere in the app.
Where does xTDH fit?
xTDH is calculated separately. Receiving xTDH does not increase the base TDH explained here. Your TDH rate is an input to the xTDH system.
The exact calculation

Holding history and whole days
For each surviving copy, take the snapshot block’s timestamp minus its acquisition timestamp, divide by 86,400 seconds, and round down. Only positive whole days enter raw TDH. Transfers are replayed using the current confirmed consolidation group. Outgoing copies are removed from the end of the sending wallet’s acquisition array; after internal transfers this is not always the youngest original acquisition.
Edition sizes, floors and rates
To find a Meme’s rate, divide the largest eligible Meme edition by that card’s edition. Both edition counts include any minimum described below. The largest edition can change, so the reference number is not fixed.
An edition-size floor is a minimum count used for TDH. If fewer copies were minted, the calculation uses this minimum instead. For example, 200 minted copies with a floor of 310 are treated as an edition of 310.
For new Memes, the floor is the card’s mint limit or 310, whichever is lower. If the mint limit is unavailable, the existing floor is kept, or the card’s supply is used. Older Memes can have different floors.
Burning copies normally leaves the minted count used for TDH unchanged, so it does not make the remaining copies earn a higher edition-weighted rate. FirstGM (Meme #8) has one explicit exception: subtract 2,588 from its 6,529 minted copies, giving 3,941 before applying the edition-size floor. This fixed adjustment does not apply to other burns.
Gradients and NextGen use their recorded HODL rates. Every card’s rate is rounded to two decimal places before TDH is calculated.
Rounding and consolidated wallets
Within each wallet, sum a token ID’s whole holding days, multiply by its rounded rate, round to three decimals, then round to a whole number. Add those already-rounded base values across consolidated wallets. Multiply each consolidated token ID’s base TDH by the current boost and round to a whole number. Sum these final contributions across all three collections.
Final TDH = sum of round(each token’s stored base TDH × boost)
Multiplying the grand base total by the boost can give a different answer. So can recomputing base TDH from combined wallet holding days. The profile breakdown below each total keeps the stored base values so the arithmetic can reconcile exactly.
Additional complete sets and boost precision
The first complete collection earns the sum of eligible season bonuses. Each additional complete set adds a smaller bonus: the initial additional-set bonus multiplied by the decay ratio raised to the number of earlier additional sets. The calculator rounds the additional-set sum and the Meme bonus to six decimals, adds the Gradient bonus and baseline, then rounds the final multiplier to two decimals.
Current rates and boosts apply to the entire holding history of the copies you still own. The calculation does not accumulate past daily rates or preserve earlier multipliers.
