It presents online-only works and readings, explains that the works use different platforms, names production, design, editorial, curatorial, rights, and image staff, and warns that volatile internet links may disappear. It invites reports of missing content and identifies the site as an enduring resource for visitors and researchers.

The exhibition page organizes approximately one hundred works from 1998 onward into named sections and directs visitors to the exhibition website for online works: I Was Raised on the Internet exhibition. MCA's websites page describes exhibition microsites as resources containing reading lists, playlists, installation views, images, videos, gallery guides, reviews, and knowledge created through research.

The decisive editorial practice is separation of genres. A label fixes identity and discovery. A microsite gathers a research argument, works, context, credits, rights, and public access. A book can preserve a further scholarly record. MCA's books catalogue includes I Was Raised on the Internet among the publications that extend its exhibitions and collection through sustained scholarship.

For the 6529 Network Museum, every public microsite or digital publication should carry its own publication record: title, publication date, research cutoff, scope, contributors, production system or CMS when relevant, rights, current status, known missing content, volatile links, archive or snapshot route, and suggested citation. What the Museum should adopt

• Record link status, missing content, archive scope, current availability, and known differences from the original publication.
• Add a stable citation and revision history to every public web publication.
• Use short collection records to state facts, not to imply that a linked essay or microsite has preserved the work's runtime behavior.

Where the analogy ends

The public MCA pages reviewed demonstrate collection-label and digital- publication practice. They do not present a dedicated conservation dossier or evidence of a complete digital-preservation workflow. The warning that links may disappear is an access limitation, not proof of successful preservation. The Museum should adopt MCA's genre separation, credits, link-status disclosure, and correction route while keeping the limits of that evidence clear.
